About the Role

The Business Development Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. This role will be responsible for supporting the Germany Business Development team across a full suite of administrative and project management tasks, while providing support across a full suite of marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, and other relevant collateral as well as general document formatting (Word and PPT). This role will be located in either our Frankfurt or Hamburg office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Provide support across a full suite of marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, and other relevant collateral as well as general document formatting (Word and PPT).
  • Updating lawyer biographies.
  • Project management and supporting legal industry awards and legal directory submissions.
  • Assisting with the collection of deal and case data from local attorneys, and assisting with reporting the data to appropriate members of the global BD department.
  • Assisting in the production of German-language pitch books, pitch-related presentations, and follow-ups with key attorneys after the pitch.
  • CRM research, updates, and data entry as well as client research

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Display excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and German
  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients and staff at all organisational levels of the firm
  • Possess the strong project management and organisational skills needed to manage time well, prioritise effectively, and handle multiple deadlines

And have:

 

  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills as well as the ability to keep sight of the big picture
  • Proven track record of building credibility quickly and the ability to manage upwards
  • Relevant legal or professional industry experience
  • Advanced knowledge in PC applications, including the Microsoft suite: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; as well as Interaction
