About the Role

As a Research Librarian you will be responsible for providing research services involving legal, business, and general information sources to attorneys and staff using a variety of research tools. This role will be located in our Madrid office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting domestic and international legal and non-legal research utilizing appropriate research tools, and analyzing results for relevancy and responsiveness to the specific research request
  • Compiling and organizing research results into a coherent, focused collection, accompanied by explanatory notes if relevant, to ensure material is readily understandable and actionable for the user. Presenting results in the most appropriate form for the recipient
  • Monitoring business, industry, and legal news sources for emerging developments regarding clients, industries, and practice areas, while utilizing aggregator platforms to assemble relevant results for distribution to end-users
  • Promoting awareness and delivering end-user training on research techniques and resources
  • Assisting with library operational functions

  

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Display intellectually curiosity and have a passion for research and problem-solving
  • Demonstrate proficiency in transactional and litigation research, and a good knowledge of electronic and print resources
  • Enjoy working within a collaborative and dynamic global team

 

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master in Information or Library Science is preferred
  • Relevant research experience in a law firm or other professional service entity
  • Language proficiency in English and Spanish
