About the Role

The Research Librarian is an integral part of Latham’s dynamic Research & Library team. The successful individual will be responsible for providing research services involving legal, business, and general information sources to attorneys, paralegals, and staff using a variety of research tools. This role is for a 2 year Fixed Term contract and will be located in our Frankfurt or Munich offices. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting domestic and international legal and non-legal research utilizing appropriate research tools and directs users to appropriate resources
  • Compiling and organizing information obtained in research projects into a coherent, focused collection of information
  • Monitoring legal, business and news sources for current developments in practice areas for clients and industries
  • Promoting awareness and conducting end-user training about internal and external research resources
  • Assisting with library operational functions

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of print and electronic legal and non-legal research resources
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills
  • Display the ability to organise collections of materials and information

 

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent
  • Research experience in a law firm or other professional services entity
