About the Role

The Associate Recruiting & Legal Talent Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for supporting Associate Recruiting & Legal Talent leadership with office strategic initiatives, contributing to the office associate programme, supporting all aspects of entry-level hiring of associates, and advancing the global agenda, with a particular focus on the firm’s development, utilisation, and retention goals, while acting as a liaison between local and global management committees, facilitating effective communication and information sharing, preventing scheduling conflicts, and engaging with relevant stakeholders to apply employment and recruitment policies, while organising approval processes. This role will be located in our Paris office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting development initiatives aimed at associate morale and retention, including coordinating orientation, training, and integration for new hire, and lateral associates, while overseeing inter-office transfers and directing joiner/leaver processes
  • Strategising, planning, and executing attorney-related programming, setting objectives with management, negotiating with vendors, managing budgets, and processing expenses, in addition to organising internal events and initiatives to ensure seamless execution in alignment with firm goals
  • Facilitating all phases of recruiting efforts, including campus outreach, and entry-level hiring, while coordinating candidate interviews, preparing offer letters, handling correspondence, and maintaining candidate records, as well as cultivating relationships with target law schools, career services, student organisations, vendors, and other recruitment professionals, serving as the firm’s liaison at recruiting functions
  • Providing administrative support to the Recruiting Committee, assisting in managing long-term hiring goals, preparing recruitment statistics and reports, and developing presentations for internal and external audiences, in addition to collaborating with team members and committees to identify and implement new marketing and promotional strategies
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all organisational levels, and work well in a team with a first-class customer-service focus
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion, possess strong analytical skills with minimal supervision, and maintain attention to detail for quality assurance
  • Possess organisational skills to manage time, prioritise tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, and interview platforms

And have:

  • Experience in legal talent/attorney recruiting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent
