Business Development Advisor (H/F)

The Business Development (BD) Advisor is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. As a BD Advisor focusing on the French market, you will collaborate with the BD manager and partners, as well as the global BD team to develop and implement client development programs for the transactional practices of the Paris office. This role will be located in our Paris office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

With a focus on delivering quality and excellence in client service, the BD Advisor will take on a lead project management role in specific areas as assigned, including:

• Collaborating with the market BD Manager to assist in the planning, execution, and follow-up of business development plans supporting the transactional practice areas with a focus on M&A and Private Equity
• Conducting cross-selling activities, market analysis and research on prospective targets and industries
• Leading the development and production of client presentations in coordination with the firm’s New Business Team and collaboration with the global BD team on multi-office opportunities using the firm’s experience platform
• Producing submissions to ensure high visibility in legal directories and league tables
• Coordinating event and sponsorship initiatives
• Organizing and leading special projects on various issues as needed, ensuring their completion

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Display excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm (partners, attorneys, business services)
• Demonstrate initiative to work both independently and in a team environment with a customer service focus
• Possess the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and adapt to continuously evolving technology platforms

And have:

• Relevant subject matter and analytical experience in a financial, legal, or consulting environment
• A solid understanding of the business and finance ecosystem and the ability to contribute to the development of services rendered by the BD team
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field required, with legal background, preferably
