About the Role

The Accounting Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for performing professional and non-repetitive accounting and cash duties that require familiarity with accounting practices and procedures, and knowledge of a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications, as well as assisting in the preparation of financial reports, monitoring accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. This role will be located in our Frankfurt office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Determining monetary benefits for monthly payroll taxation and conducting regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Assisting with the monthly VAT filing and quarterly ESL filing including necessary reconciliations
  • Assisting in the creation and monitoring of budgets to ensure expenses remain within limits
  • Collaborating with external auditors to ensure all necessary information is provided and analysing financial data to identify trends and prepare reports for management
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide financial information and clarify questions
  • Ensuring all accounting practices comply with applicable legal and internal company regulations

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and lead by example, with a customer service focus
  • Possess thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and bookkeeping procedures

 

And have:

  • Relevant accounting experience at a professional services organization, preferably
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Completed commercial training or have experience as a tax clerk, or hold a tax clerk accountant certification
