About the Role

The Technology Support Specialist (m/w/d) is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for resolving desktop, notebook, and remote computing issues, while providing support to desktops, notebooks, hardware, and customer related services, as well as providing support to printers, Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs), and mobile devices including configuring and troubleshooting. This role will be located in our Munich office. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up PC and notebook computers, as well as printers, to initialise and stabilise their performance
  • Configuring, deploying, and delivering mobility offerings, including iPhones, iPads, and other technology devices, while performing regular maintenance on PC equipment, such as computers, notebook computers, printers, and peripherals—and scanning computers for viruses
  • Setting up conference rooms to use technology services (e.g. presentations, network connections, and audio/visual), and performing daily checks of conference rooms to ensure all equipment is working properly
  • Creating help desk tickets, notifying team members via email when taking an open request and when the request is completed
  • Maintaining an inventory of PC hardware equipment and software programs, and utilising ServiceNow to track loaner equipment for distribution and recovery

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess knowledge of standard hardware components and peripherals
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in software programs, including Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
  • Exhibit analytical skills needed to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems, and test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems

And have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Systems, preferably
  • Technology support experience with PC hardware/software, preferably
  • Experience working with remote communications hardware including modems, wireless routers, and network interface cards , preferably
  • Experience working with notebook computers, preferably
  • Experience with installations and upgrades, training and technical documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
