About the Role

The Human Resources, Recruiting and Legal Talent Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent (HC&T) team. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive support across the HC&T function, combining human resources (HR) responsibilities with involvement in recruiting and legal talent initiatives. This role will be located in our Milan office.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a point of contact for all human resources questions and duties, including monitoring employees attendance tracking system, liaising with external payroll providers, providing HR and labor law updates as needed and responding to queries related to the firm policies, escalating complex questions and issues appropriately
  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of training programs, development plans, and team-building initiatives for both staff and attorneys, contributing to engagement, performance, and retention objectives
  • Supporting the promotion of value-added benefits, wellness initiatives, and training opportunities in partnership with the Well-Being & Benefits and Development & Training teams
  • Maintaining personnel files to ensure confidentiality and compliance with all legal regulations and firm policies, while providing administrative and coordination support across the attorney lifecycle
  • Supporting all phases of recruiting efforts including candidate selection processes, interview scheduling, offer letter/contract preparation, and related administrative tasks, and assisting onboarding, orientation, and integration activities for new hires and lateral associates, and overseeing joiner/leaver processes, inter-office transfers, and secondments
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with target law schools, career services, student organizations, vendors
  • Providing administrative and coordination support across the attorney lifecycle, including BAR compliance, study leave planning, training registrations, and related processes
  • Supporting the execution of events, initiatives, and strategic projects aligned with Human Capital & Talent priorities, including special projects as required

    Possess the organisational skills to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines, as well as strong attention to detail and analytical skills


And have:

  • Experience in human resources or recruiting or professional services environment, preferably
  • Excellent proficiency in English and Italian, both written and spoken
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

The pay range for this role is €35,000 – €45,000. Placement within the range will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies, in accordance with objective and non-discriminatory criteria. The employment relationship will be governed by the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Tertiary, Distribution and Services sector (CCNL Commercio). #Associate #LI-AJ1
